In a significant leap for India’s defence and military technology landscape, Garuda Aerospace Military Drones are set to be to launched at Aero India 2025. Scheduled to be held from February 10 to 14 at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru, this esteemed event will serve as a premier platform for showcasing advanced unmanned systems that promise to elevate India’s defence capabilities and address critical needs across various sectors.
Founded by Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Garuda Aerospace has quickly positioned itself as a leader in drone technology, both domestically and internationally. The company’s foray into creating sophisticated unmanned aerial systems is fuelled by the growing demand for enhanced security, humanitarian aid, and defence operations. “Aero India 2025 provides the ideal platform to showcase how these innovations will shape the future of defence, security, and humanitarian efforts,” Jayaprakash remarked, highlighting the significance of this launch in the broader context of strengthening global defence mechanisms.
Garuda Aerospace’s new range of drones is diverse and designed to tackle a variety of applications. The collection includes a rocket launcher drone, ideal for combat and tactical scenarios, and a land mine detection and diffusement system that promises to enhance safety measures in conflict zones. Notably, the logistics drone is set to revolutionise supply chain operations in challenging environments, while the Thales Garuda UTM (Unmanned Traffic Management) drone underscores the potential in airspace management solutions.
Further expanding their portfolio, Garuda Aerospace is introducing a firefighting drone, which signifies a major stride in emergency response capabilities. This is complemented by a VR military drone simulator aimed at enhancing training regimes for soldiers. Additionally, the launch will feature a grenade and cannister dropping drone, alongside a Life Buoy drone specifically tailored for the Navy and Coast Guard, augmenting their operational effectiveness in maritime scenarios.
